Obadian Hedden’s Farm - 1800
Take a trip back in time to Obadiah Hedden's farm, around the year 1800, and find out what life might have been like for area residents over 200 years ago.
On Sunday, May 21, from 1pm to 4pm, Durand-Hedden House & Garden in Maplewood will invite visitors to travel back in time to about the year 1800 on Obadiah Hedden’s working farm on the grounds surrounding Durand-Hedden.
We’ll see what life might have been like for area residents over 200 years ago through exhibits of antique farm equipment, live animals, and a look at what our Village, then called Jefferson Village, looked and felt like at that time.
This program is suitable for all ages and children will especially enjoy interacting with and petting friendly farm animals.
Pre-registration is appreciated at DurandHedden.org. May 21 is also a great opportunity to view the exhibit on Maplewood Village and to shop at our beautiful Country Store.
