Once a year, the doors open. On Saturday and Sunday, November 7 - 8, 2026, Studio Tour SOMA gives the public an extraordinary opportunity to step directly into the studios, homes, and creative spaces of more than 100 talented local artists - free of charge. From 11am to 5pm each day, the towns of South Orange and Maplewood transform into a vibrant, living gallery.
Far more intimate than a curated exhibition and more rewarding than a traditional gallery visit, Studio Tour SOMA offers a rare chance to meet artists on their own turf. Visitors can ask the questions they’ve always wanted to ask, hear the personal stories behind the work, and - if a piece speaks to them - purchase it directly from the artist.
