Proof of Existence: Artifacts made in community

Join artist and Oakland Road Art Club founder Katey Darago for a month-long community artist residency exploring creativity, sculpture, and the possibilities of found materials. Through weekly workshops for tweens, teens, and families, participants will transform reclaimed and upcycled objects into imaginative works of art. Artwork created throughout the residency will come together in a collaborative community exhibition during Halloween weekend at The 1978 Maplewood Arts Center. No experience necessary—just bring your ideas and imagination!

Saturday Family Workshops (All ages welcome)

Saturdays 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 from 12pm - 4pm

Families are invited to build imaginative sculptures using upcycled, reclaimed and found materials in a relaxed, open studio environment.

Each workshop begins with a thought-provoking prompt which every family is free to interpret in their own way.

The artwork created during these workshops will become part of a community exhibition during Halloween weekend. No experience necessary!
