The 1978 Collection returns to the 1978 Maplewood Arts Center this December, featuring a curated selection of work by local artists in a boutique-style holiday arts market.
Co-curated by Leslie Goldman (Wild Cherry Art) and Maria Savidis-Markatos, in partnership with the Township of Maplewood Division of Arts & Culture, the collection will be juried by Jeremy Moss, Curator of the Heidi Gallery in Livingston and the Iris Gallery at SOPAC.
We’re seeking New Jersey-based artists working in painting, prints, photography, collage, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, and more. Artists from Maplewood and surrounding communities are encouraged to apply.
Suggested price point: $1,500 or less
Display options: 6-foot table or approximately 9' × 9' wall space
Key Dates
Application Deadline: October 15, 2026
Artists Notified: November 4
Preview Sale: December 3, 6–8 PM
Open Hours: December 5 & 6, 11 AM–5 PM
Selected artists are responsible for their own point-of-sale system and must staff their display during required sales hours.
