Harambee Chamber Orchestra is a place for young musicians of diverse origins to express themselves in a supportive, collaborative environment. Aiming to advocate for under-represented musicians and composers, including people of color and women, the orchestra performs challenging and fun repertoire taken from a wide range of musical styles and genres — including commissioned compositions for the orchestra showcasing compelling new voices and perspectives in music.
The 2023 Winter Concert features traditional and original works by Black Violin, Erik Morales, Doug Spata, Bert Ligon, and Soo Han.
