Iram’s artwork reflects the passion he feels for jazz and dance. “Jazz to me is the embodiment of freedom. Every struggle with social and humanitarian issues leaves me with a note, a chord, and a melody. Jazz is the origin of modern music. Jazz is learning to speak the blues for all to hear. In my paintings, I hope to voice the history of jazz and its development so others can learn to love this true American art form”.
