Synopsis:
After her husband Ugo Giannini dies, Maxine Giannini finally enters his closed art studio and discovers carefully preserved letters and drawings from his service during World War Two. Among the drawings, the only known D-Day sketches from that fateful day on Bloody Omaha Beach. For the next 30 years, Maxine dedicates her life to sharing the legacy of Ugo, an artist that went to war.

Most of the music of the film was composed for the film by two of Maxine's former piano students, Adam and Ben Kaplan of Maplewood! 

Directed by Steve Nemsick:

Award winning filmmaker Steve Nemsick has traveled the world with his camera filming war refugees performing Shakespeare in Bosnia, Tokyo bikers, California skaters, rape victims raising families in a garbage dump in Mexico, war Veterans and many others across 6 continents.

The film screening at The Woodland will be followed by a conversation with Steve Nemsick & Maxine Giannini: Saturday, April 18th at 7pm
