The U.S. Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus comes to Maplewood this Labor Day weekend.

The Township of Maplewood will present a free concert featuring The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus in the Memorial Park Amphitheater on Sunday, September 2nd at 6:00 pm.

Founded respectively in 1946 and 1957, the Concert Band and Soldiers’ Chorus are the oldest and largest of the Field Band’s performing counterparts. Their multifaceted duty to the country includes representing the Army at formal and ceremonial functions ranging from presidential funerals to the Army All-American Bowl; educational outreach through masterclasses, audio recordings, and instructional videos featuring their members; and spreading the essence of the American spirit through tours in all fifty states and thirty foreign countries. More than six decades as the military’s most traveled musicians have earned them the title “The Musical Ambassadors of the Army”.

You can learn more about the Army Field Band here, view more of their instructional and performance videos here, or RSVP to the concert's official Facebook event here.
